INTRODUCTION
We are pleased to announce our competitive team tryouts for the upcoming Fall 2009 thru Spring 2010 seasonal year. These tryouts apply to both returning and new players in the U15-U19 age groups. The tryouts will be conducted by the RVSC Technical Directors & Training Staff and will give every player an equal and unbiased evaluation of their skills and to determine the right team. With our primary goal to advance youth soccer, we will do our best to find a spot for every player who is interested, regardless of experience, including forming additional teams when possible. When invited to join a team, registration, including a deposit, is required within 2 weeks of notification or your spot will no longer be guaranteed. We are proud to offer one the largest selection of premier facilities in the area: 3 State-of-art lighted turf fields providing small and full-sided play, 3 pristine grassed-fields providing small and full-sided play, and 1 small-sided dome-enclosed turf field providing year-round play.

TRYOUT DATES
Tryouts will be held on the following dates, rain or shine. Please arrive 30 min before tryout start time for player check in. We highly encourage all players do their best to attend their scheduled session. If a player has a doctor confirmed injury, or will miss due another planned event, they still need to complete a registration form. No player will be placed on a team without having completed an online tryout registration form.
In addition to our formal tryout sessions, interested players have the opportunity to join a practice to see what our soccer club and teams have to offer. Based on player skills, team needs and roster openings, players may join teams in season but this decision is made on a team-by-team basis.
ELIGIBILITY
The minimum age group for players is the U7 age group. This age group participates in the recreational division of the Northern Counties Soccer League (NCSA) until they are U9 players when scored and standings are kept. Our U9-U19 teams compete in NCSA with premier teams participating in the US Youth Soccer Region 1, Mid-Atlantic Area Premier Soccer (MAPS) and Jersey Area Girls Soccer (JAGS) leagues.
Although our programs are based in the Town of Ramapo, we welcome players from neighboring towns and counties as well --- we currently have players from Orange, Bergen and Westchester counties. Soccer is an active and contact sport, so your child should be in good physical condition.
TRYOUT REGISTRATION
All players, returning & new, must complete a tryout registration form before their scheduled session. Please arrive 30 minutes before your tryout session to check-in and get warmed up.
WHAT TO BRING
To help make the tryouts objective, players should wear t-shirts and shorts. Club uniforms or other club related apparel should not be worn. Wear shin guards, cleats and bring an age-appropriate soccer ball plus 1-2 bottles of water.
PARENTS & COACHES
Parents are welcome to attend the tryout to observe the process and see our outstanding facilities. Club representatives will be on hand to discuss our club programs and to answer any questions. Existing coaches are encouraged to attend as secondary evaluators but can not coach or encourage any players participating in a session.
ACCEPTED PLAYER REGISTRATION
Accepted players and team rosters will be determined no later than November 15th. We will require that a player commit to their team by November 20th. At that time, we require all registration materials and applicable fees be provided.
