New to the sport of hockey? Welcome to the most exciting youth sport today. Inline hockey is similar to ice hockey except it is played 4 skaters and a goalie, no checking is allowed, and no offsides or icing. This means that there is more room to skate and more opportunity to touch the puck. Many ice hockey players also play inline hockey because it teaches strong stickhandling, passing, and skating skills.
The required equipment for inline hockey is the following:
- Elbow Pads
- Inline Skates
- Protective Cup (males)
- Inline hockey pants (recommended)
There are several stores in Middle Tennessee that sell inline equipment. Play It Again Sports (Cool Springs, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro), Perani's Pro Shop (located in Ford Ice Center), Hockey Pus (located in Centennial Sportsplex), and Asphalt Beach (Nashville). There are several online hockey stores which can be useful once you know your sizes.
If you still have questions about the league, please contact Ryan Daniel at 615-865-0003 ext 2 (firstname.lastname@example.org).
