Welcome to PCBRL
Princeton-Cranbury Babe Ruth League (PCBRL) is your next stop after the Princeton and Cranbury-Plainsboro Little Leagues. We offer recreational and competitive baseball programs in two divisions. The 13-Prep program is designed to ease the players' introduction to the big field. We would encourage all graduating Little Leaguers to try at least one season playing on a major-league sized diamond. The players will only play games against other teams and leagues with 13 year-old players.
We also offer a Majors division for our 14-15 year olds, designed to advance the level of play for players who have already experienced one year of playing on the big field.
Bath Ruth baseball is offered in both the spring and the fall; players may elect to play either or both seasons. The highlight of our program is the summer District Tournament, with PCBRL typically fielding a tournament team for each of the 13, 14, and 15 year old age groups. These teams are designed for the most advanced and committed players, with players needing to qualify for selection.
Welcome to PCBRL. Please feel free to contact either of us with questions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What is the time involvement required in the Princeton-Cranbury Babe Ruth spring program?
Answer: The spring PCBRL program is designed to be a community program that provides a sole outlet for some players who do not play in school while also supplementing the school baseball programs for other players. There are typically 2 games per week scheduled around the weekends and coaches may schedule additional weekly practices. Since players in school programs practice or play games nearly every weekday, to avoid injury from overuse of arms, school players may not need to attend all practices and may miss games upon occasion.
Normally, the spring school program ends the 2nd week in May while the Babe Ruth program continues into June. There may be more practices and games after the school program is completed since the conflict is reduced.
The summer program at each age level is a competitive program of tournament and league baseball. Typically, a tournament team is selected comprising the 15 players at each age level that will practice 4-5 times per week and play in competitive tournaments. Participation in the summer program is separate from the registration for the spring program but there is a minimum number of spring season games that the players must attend in order to be eligible for the Babe Ruth District summer tournament.
Question: What is the skill level needed to participate in Princeton-Cranbury Babe Ruth?
Answer: PCBRL supports enthusiastic players at all skill levels for play in the spring and fall programs. The coaches are able to work with players to advance their skills and position assignments will be based upon ability to play a position safely. Most players of at least average athletic proficiency and some baseball experience are able to play safely and have an enjoyable time.
The summer program is more competitive and normally requires an advanced level of proficiency for being a starter.
