On August 1st-3rd coaches from all around the country gathered in the Holy Land of Football...Canton, Ohio...for a weekend of fellowship, fun, charity and good times. This was the first annual MFCA Convention and it was a complete and total success!

The group shot! Following the first annual MFCA Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the attendees gathered for a group shot. Congratulations to all the inductees and a big thanks to Ray Fanera and Lynn Schmidt for their efforts in the MFCA.

Frank Jacobs sets up a play during the tournament. Frank Jacob is our celebrity, as he played on the 1988 Notre Dame National Championship football team. Frank is one of the nicest coaches you will ever meet.

Adrian Baxter was hard to beat all weekend...here is Hawaii team gets set for a big play on the electric gridiron!
In what became one of the best games of the weekend...the Michigan Wolverines, coaches by Joe Allore (Chicago), takes on their arch rivals the Michigan State Spartans, coached by Steve Martin (Detroit). It went right down to the wire, but in the end the Spartans prevailed.
The Arizona Cardinals came to play. Here Kelvin Lomax of Washington D.C. displays his teams during the tournament.

The highlight of the painting contest was this rendition of the famous play from Superbowl XXV simply titled "Wide Right". Mike Guttman took home the painting contest award for best scene...it was a no contest...WOW!
Yes...this field is too scale! Another eye catcher was this custom made 1969 Kansas City Chiefs field that was huge...one of the first to scale fields ever built.
"MFCA Man" greeted all coaches to the Hampton Inn in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Unfortunately for MFCA Man, someone deceided to steal him on Saturday night...he will be missed...
