    Pictures from the teardown of the old NCYMCA dek rink to make way for the construction of the new rink in time for the 2008 sessions.

    Dave Richardson begins festivities at the rink by tearing down the smaller set of stands with his specially-equipped tractor.

    The back boards nearest the scoreboard. After volunteers from Vo-Tech removed all of the bolts that attached the boards to the I-beams, the wall pictured began to sag inward towards the playing surface.
    A group of volunteers, which worked from 9AM in the morning until noon, help one another take apart the rink.

    A shot of the entire rink with no walls remaining. The only thing remaining is the flooring itself (which will be re-used with the new rink) and the I-beams (which are visible). When the new rink is built, the I-beams will have to be trimmed in height to accomodate the lower boards.
