16 of us headed to Chilo, Ohio to spend the night in a couple of heated Yurts. We may have been a small group, but we had Big fun!

    Part of our Crew!
As soon as we hit the Campsite, the kids hit the Playground!
    Monkey!
    Buddies!
The Yurts were really cool. The kids loved them.
The Yurts were warm, but it was still chilly outside.
After settling in, it was time for lunch.
After Lunch, we headed over to the Lock Museum.
The boys got to see how the Locks worked, and how boats moved through them.
The Museum had a lot of hands-on activities for the kids. They really enjoyed it.
Our Guide, Scott, was very helpful at explaining everything.
Even the Leaders had a good time.
After the Museum, our Guide took us on a Hike!
He started by showing them how to make Fire with the bow method.
This is a lot harder than it looks.
After a little instruction, each kid got to give it a try.
The Leaders tried to help, but we weren't any better at it than the kids.
Then our Guide showed us some edible plants.
He also showed us some natural plants that are great tinder for starting a fire.
Then he showed us a cool method for collecting clean water.
Last but not least, he showed the boys how to construct a shelter.
It was a really neat hike, and we all learned a lot.
After the Hike, we all headed back to the Campfire.
Our Cubmaster utilized this time to give the boys a little fire building lesson.
The end of the night had everyone heading into their Yurts for fun and Games.
We played board games, Charades, and pigged out on junk food.
Finally, it was time for lights out.
In the morning, we followed a Geo-cache clue to a hidden box!
The boys found the box, signed the log book, and left their mark.
After Geo-caching, it was time to clean-up and head home. We all had a blast!
