U17 Seals vs Sheffield United on July 31, 2006.
The game started with an absolute downpour. You can see it in the first shot.
The boys played Sheffield United tough the whole game. Neither side had clear domination of the game, though after the first half with the score at 0-0, Sheffield came out and put more pressure on our defense.
With less than 5 minute in the match, they had a man beat our defense with a through ball, and go one-on-one with Brandon Briggs (our goalie for that match). Brandon made a brilliant block, but the ball bounced out where the shooter was able to get it for a second shot - also blocked. But as happens, the ball took a funny bounce & spin that took it right in front of the net for a simple finish.
The Seals didn't quit though, and they generated three opportunites after that, but were unable to finish. The final score was 0-1.
