PIEDMONT BASEBALL “HITS FOR TUG'S TEAM” CAMPAIGN
What a great opening day was held at Swift Field #2 for Piedmont Baseball on Saturday, April 5. Ceremonies highlighted the history and mission of Piedmont Baseball, with a tribute to the military forces that preserve our freedom, and an opportunity for our players to show that youth in the community can truly make a difference via the “Hits for Tug’s Team” campaign.
Piedmont Baseball’s collaboration with the Tug McGraw Foundation, and the “Hits for Tug's Team” campaign, is an effort to raise awareness and funds to support research to enhance the quality of life for patients, families, and caregivers affected by brain tumors, as well as to support Piedmont Baseball. All funds raised will be shared 50/50 between The Tug McGraw Foundation and Piedmont Baseball.
There are several ways to contribute:
Go to www.hitsfortugsteam.org. Choose the Piedmont Baseball team you would like to support. The online contribution process is secure, and goes easily from there.
Fill out the contribution form provided to the members of each team, and turn it in to the Team Manager. You may use a credit card or a check payable to “The Tug McGraw Foundation”. Team Managers can then send the contribution forms to:
The Tug McGraw Foundation
1303 Jefferson Street, Suite 100B
Napa, CA 94559

The top 3 fundraising teams as of May 10, will be recognized with a pizza party, and a plaque at the Swift Fields will honor these teams’ accomplishment. It’s the Tug McGraw “Ya Gotta Believe” spirit that makes Piedmont Baseball special, so let’s get busy out there in raising awareness and money in support of both Piedmont Baseball and the Tug McGraw Foundation.
Please feel free to contact Mike Flanagan, Board Member of the Tug McGraw Foundation, with any questions, or if he can help you in any way. Mike’s contact info is mike@tugmcgraw.org or 610-299-7970.
