Matt Salsberry
IN MEMORIUM
 
   Matt Salsberry was one of the best wrestlers to ever step foot on the mat at East Liverpool High School. Matt was killed in an automobile accident on Saturday, June 12, 1999. Matt was returning from an orientation program at Ohio Northern University when their car was hit broad-side by another vehicle.He had graduated from East Liverpool High School on the previous Sunday.Matt was an outstanding wrestler at East Liverpool and also a tremendous football player. Here are some of Matts accomplishments:

124 Career Wins 4th in State 215lbs

3X OVAC Placer, 2X OVAC Champion

4X Sectional Champion 215, 189, 189, 215

2X State Qualifier, 3X District Placer

4X River Valley League Champion

4X Austintown Champion

4X Medina Placer 1st ever upper weight tourney history

1X North Canton Hoover Champion,2X N.C. Hoover Placer

1X Midwest Classic Placer, 1X JC Gorman Champion

3 Sport Athlete: Football, Wrestling, Track

Senior Class Vice President

NHS Accepted at Ohio Northern University

3.5 GPA
