Lakers lose heartbreaker to Canes.
The Pelican Rapids Lakers took an early 1-0 lead over the Fergus Falls Hurricanes after the first inning. In the fourth the Lakers scored again to take a 2-0 lead. Fergus got on the board in the fifth and scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to take the lead 4-2. Pelican finished the season with a record of 8-8 in the Countryside and 9-12 overall.
We would like to thank our fans for their support this season. Also, we would like to the Baseball Association for helping keep baseball going in Pelican Rapids.
