REGISTRATION DATES SET FOR 2008 SEASON
The Proctor Baseball Association is pleased to announce the dates and time of registration for the 2008 Amateur Baseball season. For the tee-ball and intermediate levels, parents can go to the following locations at the following times to register their son or daughter to play in the league from the middle of May to the beginning of July:
Saturday, March 29th - Proctor High School Main Entrance (11am-4pm)
Sunday, March 30th - Proctor High School Main Entrance (Noon-4pm)
Tuesday, April 15th - Pike Lake Elementary (5-8pm)
Thursday, April 17th - Proctor High School Main Entrance (5-8pm)
Saturday, April 19th - Proctor High School (9:00-Noon)
THERE ARE NO MAIL IN REGISTRATIONS THIS YEAR SO TO REGISTER, ATTENDANCE AT ONE OF THE ABOVE LOCATIONS AND TIMES IS REQUIRED!!
2008 Whiffle Ball League Set
All 9-10 year olds are eligible to participate in the 2008 Proctor Whiffle ball league held on the dates listed below at the Proctor High School Field House. All 9-10 year olds who sign up will play from 7-8pm. For only $10, players will be given the opportunity to join the excitement and will receive a t-shirt for their involvement in this wonderful program. League coaches and personnel will be on hand to offer limited instruction on the basics of baseball skills. This league is not an instructional camp. Instead, it is a great place for kids to have fun with their friends in preparing for the snow to melt and the 2008 season to begin outdoors. Every Thursday during this league, players will be randomly placed on teams depending on how many players attend. DATES OF WHIFFLE BALL = March 27th, April 3rd, 17th, 24th
FREE BASEBALL CLINIC FOR 9-10 YEAR OLDS
On Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30, the Proctor High School Baseball Team will be conducting a free youth baseball clinic at the Proctor High School Field House. Basic instruction will be given on hitting, fielding, and pitching for all 9 and 10 year olds interested in attending. The Rails coaching staff and players will teach these skills and will be available for demonstrations of drills and for questions relating to the game of baseball throughout the sessions. Registration in the Proctor Baseball association for the 2008 season is required prior to participation. Registration will be open prior to and during the clinics for your convenience. Saturday - 11am-1pm
Sunday - Noon-2pm
Little League Night/Team Photo Night Set
The 2008 Official Kick-Off event for all Amateur Baseball has been set for Friday, May 16th at Terry Egerdahl Memorial Field in Proctor. All teams in the Proctor Baseball Association are scheduled to have their team and individual photos taken at this event while also there will be a parade of teams prior to the start of the Proctor High School Varsity baseball game against the Eveleth Gilbert Golden Bears. The parade of teams will begin at 5:30pm and the game will begin at 6pm. Concession specials will be available to kids and families who attend while there will also be contests and games going on all game long. Check back to this site often for further details as they are developed by the Board of Directors.
