Dodgers Lose a Squeaker to the Dirtbags
June 15, 2008 After last weeks skeleton crew 8-5 win over the Bulldogs, The Rancho Cordova Dodgers were primed for a win over the Dirtbags. However with Coach Bob Roe exhausted from his duties from protecting and serving The Dodgers lose 3-2. A low scoring affair wasn't lacking drama as the home plate umpire became the 8th Dwarf named "Sightless" and made an obvious strike 3 into ball four walking the winning run in. The Dodgers pitchers dazzled the Dirtbags all game long allowing only lone runs in the 2nd 8th and 9th innings. General Manager Erik "Easy E" Newman is quoted as saying "This is the staff all teams DREAM of having. The talent and flexibility of these guys is exactly what Coach Bob and I had in mind when we assembled this squad. Colin Parich is having a balls out awesome year and we all are sorry we could'nt get him the W for this one" However when the bats are quiet and you dont score runs you dont win. Coach Nuke said after the game, "Last time we tied these POG's and this time we lost. I think I would rather lose....at least when I get home I know how to feel." What a gamer. There is always next week and coming up is Casey Zoller and the Rangers. Give them Hell DODGERS!
