The final two regular season games are coming up. And both have a special focus.
Tuesday 02/19/2008 the boys finish their home season against the Einstein Titans. Between games (at approximately 6:40, pending finalization of schedule) the Senior guys will be honored - David, Kindy, Anthony, Quinton, Erik, and Greg. Senior Poms, Cheerleaders and Pep Band Members will also be recognized. So come out and send the Rams out on a positive note as they prepare for the playoffs where the men have been successful in 12 of the last 13 first round games over the years (unofficially).
On Tuesday 02/26/2008 the Ladies will take to the court for their last regular season game. Included are many key contributors to the growth of the program for the past 4 years. Their ceremonies will be prior to the single game (varsity girls only) v Richard Montgomery. Their playoff schedule will already be known, but the girls can get their 12th or 13th win of the season and put them in position to tie or break the 14 win season the 1999-2000 squad posted as the high water mark for the Lady Rams program. Gym Dedication Planned
Rockville High School will be naming its Gym in honor of Coach Jim Conner.
Coach Conner was this schools first basketball coach and was a talented and well respected coach. The 1st senior class of 1971 won a State Championship. His team won a 2nd State Championship in 1973. Coach Conner's teams participated in four State championships winning two and
losing two in the semi-finals one in double overtime.
This dedication will take place on Friday February 8th here at Rockville. It will take place between the Varsity Girls and Boys game that night vs. Watkins Mill. The girls game starts at 5:15pm.
A reception will take place after the game in the cafeteria. There are many of you in the community who knew Coach Conner. Also many of you coaches and AD's. Please help us in spreading the word about this night and hope to see some of you here.
Any questions please contact me here at Rockville.

NOTE: the order of the games will be altered for this night- the Ladies will play at 5:15 and the Men will follow at 7:00.
Cold Weather- Hot Games - Catch Some
The Varsity ladies are 7-4 and playing good up tempo basketball. With a pair of victories this week they can take command of 2nd place in the 3A/2A/1A West Division. The boys varsity continues to put forth the effort without seeing the results on the scoreboard. They play nice team ball and have very positive stretches that are fun to watch. Both teams feed off your energy so come out on Tuesday and cheer them on. The JV squads are both doing quite well in a tough division for them. Neither JV team will play at home this week, but they appreciate your support as well so go on the road to encourage our "next generation" if you can.
See records under "Standings" tab and Varsity write-ups under "Game Results". Would love to add JV write-ups if someone will submit them.
Go Rams!!!

Summer Camp 2007 Huge Success
July 31, 2007
The 2nd Annual Rams Basketball camp, held in July, was a great success from all angles. More kids had more fun, learned more skills, won more awards than the year before....the smiles tell the tale.
Rams Basketball Camp 2007 Photo Album (click here)
The camp counselors were many of the JV and V Rams that you will see on the court this winter. It is great fun to watch them help the youngsters that will one day take their place on the Ram hardwoods- thanks counselors.
During the 2 very successful weeks we had Tywon Lawson (Bishop McNamara and UNC), Jeremy Myers (Bullis School and Morgan St.) and Scott Fumai (Good Counsel and Catholic U.) as guest speakers. They shared experiences and philosophies with the campers and signed autographs.
Be a part of Rams Camp 2008 - watch for fliers later this winter.
