    Coach Hayes has added an extra scrimmage day to help build up the girls:

    It will be at Smithsburg and is a "jamboree" on Sat 8/23....8 teams there, we play each team for 25 minutes each...should be fun...will run from about 9-4...

    teams consist of : Smithsburg, Walkersville, Boonsboro, Catoctin, Poolesville, Blair, us...and maybe Williamsport

    Many more details from Hayes during the week

    ROCKVILLE: With Tuesday's 1-0 overtime win over Damascus, the Rams' girls' soccer team (7-1-1, 4-0-1) claimed the Montgomery County 3A/2A/1A West Division title. Six of Rockville's seven wins have been 1-0 victories during a season in which it has scored 10 goals and allowed 10 goals. Eight of the Rams' 10 goals were allowed in the team's season-opening 8-0 loss to Whitman.

    Girls are a #3 seed as a reward for their spectacular season. They will be slated to play the winner of the Northwood v Walkersville contest at home on Tuesday 10/30 (pending date and time being set by AD Fahrner).

    One of the best parts of the season is celebrating the success and sharing the stories one last time.

    This year the banquet will be catered at RHS on November 4th from 5:30-7:00.

    Plenty of people have already signed up to help with decorations, gifts, programs and planning. But if you have an idea or some free time please volunteer your help to make this a truly memorable event.

    Rams back in action to take on Panthers
    October 16, 2007
    The kids had a week to rest and are now ready for the final regular season push against non-divisional foes. First up the Paint Branch Panthers.

    Men at Home:
    JV 5:00 lost x-x
    V 7:00 lost 1-4

    Ladies at Paint Branch:
    JV 5:00 lost 1-4
    V 7:00 Tied 1-1 after being up 1-0. Unbeaten streak at 9 !!!

    Note: Banquet plans settling in on Sunday late afternoon 10/04/2007 at RHS. Volunteer to help so it can be a memorable event for all.



    Rockets on the launch pad- Ladies Home, Men at MC
    October 18, 2007
    (hahaha - close as i could come for a flying rocket.....)

    The ladies put their streak on the line at home against cross town rival Richard Montgomery. The men play away. Since RM is still under renovation all soccer home games for the Rockets are being played at Montgomery College. They have no lights at their stadium so the Varsity will play at 3:30 followed by the JV. Come on back and cheer for the ladies when you are done.

    Men at Montgomery College v RM:
    Varsity at 3:30 3-2 WIN in double OT !!
    JV at 5:30 Tied 0-0

    Ladies at Home:
    JV 5:00 Tied 1-1
    V 7:00 Lost 0-1 with one bounce the wrong way for us.

    This is the last game that counts in the playoff seedings. Our girls are on the verge of getting one of the top four seeds and a first round bye so please come build their energy and confidence.

    Varsity to Damascus- Final Divisional Contest
    October 9, 2007
    The final divisional match up of the season sees the Varsity teams playing a double header in Damascus.

    The ladies have a lot on the line. They are undefeated in the division and will take the crown with a win tonight. Come out and support the girls if you can. They are having a blast.

    Varsity at Damascus Hornets:
    Ladies: 5:00 WIN 1-0 in OT - Division Champs
    Men: 7:00 Rained Out WILL PLAY WED 10/10 at 7:00 pm - lost 0-3

    JV at Home:
    Girls: 3:30 lost 0-3
    Boys: 5:30 lost 0-2

    SENIOR NIGHT SET - Wednesday

    SENIOR NIGHT is always special for kids that have worked together in the classroom and on the field for four years.

    This year the MCPS schedule has the last Varsity-Varsity home doubleheader scheduled for the Rams on Wednesday October 3rd v Watkins Mill Wolverines.
    Ladies 5:00 Extend unbeaten streak to 7 with 0-0 tie. Play for division championship Tuesday at Damascus
    Men 7:00 lost 0-4
    (JV Thursday at Watkins Mill: Guys lost 0-3, Girls battled to 0-0 tie)

    So BETWEEN GAMES at approximately 6:30 we will honor our large group of
    Lady Ram Seniors: Cindy Cabanas, Mary Gorman, Emily Owen, Elizabeth Rojas, Caitlin Smith, Katey Webber, Anna Weber
    and
    Ram Seniors: Fabian Aguilar, Sam Franco, Victor Aldana, Enzo Advincula, Zach Ross, Phillip Dabney

    All Senior Parents need to be at the field by 6:00 so we can be sure you are properly recognized for your part in the success of your kids. You will be part of the ceremony.

    Team Parents of all underclassmen on the teams: please see Clara Aguilar or Suzy Fitzpatrick to see how you can help out. WE NEED YOUR HELP to make this an appropriate recognition for our kids.

    Guys- get it together and play as a team then watch success follow.

    Varsity at Poolesville:
    Men 5:00 lost 0-5
    Ladies 7:00 WON FOR THE FIFTH STRAIGHT TIME!!! 1-0 of course !!!
    --->scored 3 1/2 minutes into the game (see scoreboard) and held tough the rest of the way.....T E A M victory over the Falcons who have lost once on their home field in the past 5 years!!!



    Coyotes come to town - Ladies make it 4 in a row
    September 25, 2007
    Clarksburg now has a senior class so the test could be formidable. But we're looking for a revenge win for the girls after a 1-2 defeat last year and a continuation of the success the boys had last year (you can always read about last years games under the 2006 team selections in the Game Results Section of the web)

    Varsity at home:
    Men 5:00 lost 1-2 at the end of 2nd OverTime
    Ladies 7:00 WON yet again by their 1-0 favorite score

    JV travel to Clarksburg:
    Boys 3:30 lost 1-6
    Girls 5:30 tied 2-2

    Divisional play continues v the Wheaton Knights.

    Ladies 5:30 --- 4-1 WIN

    Varsity teams will travel to Wheaton Tuesday:
    Men 5:00 looking to follow up on first win - and they do 2-0 WIN
    Ladies 7:00 riding a two game streak - make that 3 with a 1-0 WIN (again!!)

    Tough Titans face off with Rams
    September 11, 2007
    The Rams face the Einstein Titans on a day to remember - September 11.

    The Ladies travel to Einstein
    JV 5:00 1-2 loss, but played very well
    V 7:00 1-0 win, second straight shutout, improve to 2-1

    The Men play the Titans at home
    JV 5:00 0-2 loss
    V 7:00 2-1 WIN - First One!!!

    Next up: Wheaton next Tuesday 09/18.




    Game #2 overall and first in the division looms for all of our kids.

    The first game was a bit of a rough start, we're gonna shake that off and come out rolling for the Gladiators.

    JV at Home v Northwood:
    Boys: 10:00 am ---- WON 4-1
    Girls: 12:00 noon ---- WON 2-0

    Varsity at Northwood:
    Men: 10:00 am ---- lost in OT 1-2

    They have been working hard for close to three weeks and all four teams are ready to hit the pitch and show what they've got for 2007.

    Senior Night Huge Success!!!
    October 11, 2006

    The rain held off and the night was nearly perfect.

    Varsity Men: 0-0 tie fought through 2 overtimes
    Varsity Ladies: 2-0 solid victory brings record to 5-5. Way to go ladies.

    And in between games 19 seniors honored for their dedication and hard work this season and more. THANK YOU SENIORS!!!
