JASON MASTERS 2008 AZTECS MVP
congratulations are in order for our 2008 MVP JASON MASTERS. not only was he our ace for the 2008 season he was also the spark plug from the #3 spot in the lineup. in his first start of the season jason posted a complete game allowing only 3 hits and 18 strike outs! in another game the dodger head coach called jason "beatable". the funny thing is that it was said after his complete game, 16 strike out performance. sounds pretty unbeatable to me. but while he was dominating on the bump, he was also a clutch and very productive hitter. hitting a clutch homerun in the playoffs to tie the game to give us new life. so with posting a 2.85 era along with a team leading 79 k's, and offensive numbers he posted in a .432 avg, 2 hr's 28 rbi's 7sb's. he was voted by his teammates as our 2008 MVP! good job jason.
GREAT JOB THIS SEASON FELLAS
August 24, 2008
great job by all you guys this season. like i said before the season i wouldnt trade any of you for anybody in the league and i have to say i had a blast last season. we went from a team that took crap because we didnt win 18A. but we put a hell of a fight fellas. its tough to lose the way we did but with great guys and some retooling over the off season we will definetly make a serious run in 09. so it was a pleasure fellas. but remember there is no off season........ theres always room for improvement. ;) see you all very soon.
SPECIAL THANX AND BEST WISHES TO # 10 JESSE LOWMAN!
June 25, 2008
i just wanted to take a moment to send a special thanx and farewell to a great teammate, coach, player, and friend JESSE LOWMAN. like i said in the thanx to the redbirds jesse lowman was looking for a team and a friend STEVE STAPP told me that since the redbirds were moving to 28AAA there were a few players that were being left behind who play in the 18 and over division. jesse was one of those players. i have to say i have been playing in the NABA for 4 years now and jesse is one of the best ball players i have ever had the honor to play with. he plays balls to the wall, dirty, loud, and very intense baseball. i never seen someone pitch so well when they are upset. i guess metallica did the trick everytime. i will definetly be the first to say that this aztec team wouldnt be what it is today without mr lowman, and for that im very greatful. we miss you already kid and i will guarentee you that not another aztec player will wear the #10 in respect for what you have done for us as a ball player, and a very good man. thanx again brotha.
