SHELBURNE BASEBALL

A big huge Basher Forearm Bash for all new players who have joined Basher Nation this year. We all wish you the best of luck this year.
No new Webmaster for Basher Central as of yet: hence, this site will be entering a dormant state over the next 48 hours. All codes and passwords for both the website and the shelburnebashers@gmail.com email address will be forwarded to the Shelburne Area Minor Baseball Association for those of you who may find the challenge of running this website an entertaining way to spend the summer.
Rosters for each team may be entered on the site before it enters cold state: with small teams this year, there will be some player swapping between teams as the regular season progresses. Much like other teams in the Shelburne County area, the true test of some teams may not come until the year end tournaments in September.
No word on how the Peewee Division will pan out: with two teams, it is unclear whether or not there will be an A and an R team as the season progresses. With seeding and division judgements to be made by Baseball Nova Scotia prior to Provincial Playdowns, we, the Basher faithful, will have to wait and see how the cards fall.

Coaching and Team Updates sees Roddy Conrad taking on the coaching responsibility of the Bantam Basher Squad: the team looks to build on last year's success. Tommy and Leon are back, coaching one of the two Peewee Basher squads being fielded this year out of SAMBA: Roddy is coaching the other squad. Eric, (his credetials just keep getting better don't they: Shelburne County Rookie Championship, Shelburne County Mosquito Championship, and on and on we go) inherits a young, gritty team. Todd Goodick and Jerry Peterson are back to lead their respective Rookie squads, (UNSURE IF THERE ARE THREE ROOKIE TEAMS OR TWO THIS YEAR...THIS WILL BE UPDATED IN THE FUTURE)....Ball School returns soon, as does the Squirt Girls program. Much more will be known about all of the teams and divisions after the scheduling meeting.

Expect some more exciting home tournaments this year, including another run as part of the Founder's Days Festivities here in Shelburne, amoung others. Should be great!
The Chase for the Lobster Cup Rookie Baseball Tournament has been put on the back burner for the time being. Further discussions with Rookie Team representatives and the Shelburne Minor Baseball Association will determine the future of this tournament. (((Webmaster Note: With the apparent scheduling conflicts and lack of volunteer work-force for the organization of this tournament, stay tuned for further updates as they become available.)))
