BERWICK, Maine — A motorcyclist who collided with a deer Saturday night remains in critical condition in a Boston hospital.
William C. Hennelly, 48, of 194 Hubbard Road in Lebanon, was on his way home when he attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway at 7:38 p.m. near 109 Hubbard Road in Berwick.
After colliding with the animal, Hennelly was thrown from his 2007 Harley Davidson Road King and was airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital with possibly life-threatening injuries, according to Police Capt. Jerry Locke.
Late Monday afternoon Locke said Monday he believed Hennelly to still be in critical condition as he had undergone brain surgery after the accident.
