Invaders Start out 1-0 with a great win over the Thunder 41-21 with touchdowns by Eddie Kaeka, Akeem Anthony, Leon Johnson, Steve Kendall, DeShawn Darden, Marquis Windam and Aaron Young. In this game there where a lot of big hits and flatbacks Go Invaders!!!
June 28th
Port Townsend-The visiting Tacoma Invaders shut out the home town Olympic Peninsula Eagles 39-0. TE/DE Mitch Johnson of the Invaders scored a touchdown on offense catching a pass, and one on defense when he picked off a Eagle pass and returned it for a score. RB Deshaun Darden scored, along with WR Steven Kendall, and kicker Clayton Rushmier kicked a 52-yard field goal to set a league record.
KICKER-Clayton Rushmier, Tacoma Invaders (Cascade). Clayton kicked a 52-yard field goal, all the extra points, and had 3 on-side kicks recovered in the 39-0 win over the Olympic Peninsula Eagles.
ALL PURPOSE-Mitch Johsnon, Tacoma Invaders (Cascade). Johnson played tight end and defensive end in the route of the Olympic Peninsula Eagles. He scored two touchdowns, one on offense catching a pass,and one on defense when he picked off a pass and returned it 39-yards for a score.

This was a slow game for the Invaders for the first half. The only Touchdown was by Eddie Kaeka and extra point by Rushmier. The Invaders came out flat for the first half. The second half the invaders where on fire. With Mitch Johnson great game play 7 tackles for loss, 2 force fumbles, 4 QB sakes, 1 TD on Defense and 2 TD on offense. Along with the great running of Deshawn Darden 11 carrys for 80 yards and Leon Johnson passing for 4 TD. One to Steve Kendell and Aaron Young. In the 4th Clayton Rushmier and Jon Rector for the hold put the Invaders up by another 3 points. Invaders 45-0.
MAY 3RD WEEKEND:
OFFENSIVE MVP-QB,Leon Johnson, Tacoma Invaders. Leon completed 6 of 11 passes for 158-yards and 2 touchdowns in the 41-21 win over the Snohomish County Thunder.
DEFENSIVE MVP-MLB, Troy Jones of the Olympic Peninsula Eagles. Troy recorded 8 solo tackles and a sack in the 14-0 win over the Pirates.
