Welcome from the TAP Celtic
Welcome to the U16 boys TAP Celtic website. The team currently plays in Division 2 of NCSL with a goal to move back to division 1. The Celtic plays year round, including indoor soccer in the winter, and participates in preseason, mid-season, and postseason tournaments. Our coach, Coach David, holds a national level USSF license; former collegiate player; former staff coach at 2 nationally ranked colleges; former ODP VA staff coach, former head coach of player development for youth club; summer soccer camp coordinator; coach or clinician for several Youth teams ranging from U19 to U11; and a former High School Coach. Celtic show well at Discovery Cup
Great job playing in a u-17 bracket at the Discovery Cup. Our first game against a Div 1 U17 team, Mclean MPS 91 Premier was hard fought game. Both sides a chances, unfortunatly they were able to put one only goal of the game in the back of the net. We lost 1-0. Our next opponent was our age, CUSU West Ham United. Celtic easly handled this team 4-1. Sunday started with another U17 team, Downtown United, but Celtic won 1-0 and should have had more. Then came a team we have played before, the Loudon Galaxy. Celtic started strong and went ahead 2-0. Then some referee calls that changed the course of the game. Celtic lost 2-3. Go Celtic.
Three Celtic Players Selected to VA ODP District Pool
There were three players from Celtic who were selected to the VA Northern District ODP Pool. In the 92's, Matt and Kyle. In the 93's, Henry. Great job and good luck at the State tryouts later this fall.

Visit our team's page at Soccer in College where you can see our ranking. The site ratings are completely objective. They are solely based on team results in league and tournament play. They currently have over 50,000 games in their database and they normally recalculate the rankings every Sunday since they are constantly adding new games and teams are adding their own results. However, accurate rankings depend on results being included in their database.
