 In 2008, the Teel Ravens expanded it's club baseball organization to include new age groups. We now have teams for the following age groups: 8U, 10U, 12U, New 13's 14U, 15U, 17U and 18U. Established 4 years ago, under the direction of Garett Teel and his professionally trained staff, the Ravens have become the benchmark in Bergen county for quality baseball instruction. The focus of the Ravens program is to build confidence and success on the baseball field by teaching the players the fundamentals of the game along with sportsmanship and teamwork. The teams stay together into high school, allowing the boys to receive consistent instruction from season to season. Spring/Summer 2009 Teel Ravens Tryouts
Tryouts for the spring/summer Teel Ravens club baseball teams are scheduled for December. The 4 tryout/workout sessions will allow the coaches to get a good look at each player and allow the players to experience the instruction and learn the philosophies of the Ravens program. All of our coaches have been professionally trained by Garett Teel, who played and coached for the Los Angeles Dodgers and has developed a proven method of training. Many of his former clients have gone on to play for division one schools and professional teams.
Our Ravens teams are for serious players that must make the Ravens their first commitment in the spring and summer. We will have weekly winter workouts from January through March, play in spring and summer leagues and attend several tournaments throughout the year. The cost for the tryout/workouts is $135 per player and all interested players are expected to attend all four sessions. Payment will be collected at the first workout. If you have not already filled out the “Interested Player” information sheet, please do so. It will be used to confirm your intent to tryout. You do not have to fill out the Tryout Confirmation sheet as well. It can be found on the front page of the Ravens site at www.teelbaseball.com/ravens. If you filled out the “Interested Player” information sheet prior to the tryout dates being announced and received an email from us, please go to the Ravens site listed above and fill out the only the Tryout confirmation form. All workouts will be at the Teel Baseball Training Facility in Wyckoff. Directions can be found at www.teelbaseball.com.
The seasons will consist of one winter workout a week from January through March, spring league play (usually one game on Saturday and one on Sunday), summer league play (weeknights), local Memorial Day and 4th of July weekend tournaments, at least one tournament involving some travel and practices throughout both seasons (both indoor and outdoor). We will not be able to give you dates and times until the seasons are much closer.
Age division is based on what age the player is on April 30, 2009.

Super 17 & 17U Ravens Team
Super 17’s / Ravens 17U Program
The Teels Ravens baseball organization once again had two Super 17 Showcase teams in 2008. Super 17 is a showcase summer l eague which is comprised of the best 90-100 high school underclassmen in New Jersey. College coaches from all over the east coast attend these games looking for new, young talent. Since the league’s inception in 2005 over 200 players have went on to play in college. Many have received Division 1 scholarships or have been selected in the major league draft.
The program for 2008 also included a number of Ravens 18U/17U Summer Teams. These teams played in the highly competitive ACEBL wood bat league.
