2010
Coach Selmer will be once again attending the NPA/RDRBI Coaching Certification in California at the campus of USC. This years event will be held in January.
With roughly 50 students, Coach Selmer wants to continue to stay on top of the latest in bio-mechanical protocols/drills, functional fitness, nutrition, leadeship and the mental & emotional side of the game.
2009
Coach Selmer returns to LA in December to attend the National Pitching Association & The Rod Dedeaux Research for Baseball Institute's, Coaching Certification Course held at the campus of USC.
After his initial Certification in 2008, his students & players have seen a tremendous increase in their pitching abilities. This success has prompted Coach Selmer to return in 2009 and continue his participation with the NPA.
2008
In an effort to provide his students and players with the latest in pitching research, Coach Selmer traveled to Los Angeles, C.A. to participate in the National Pitching Association's Coaching Certification course held on the campus of the University of Southern California. Along with current Major League scouts, current and former pro ball players, and instructors such as himself, Coach Selmer was brought up to speed with the latest in bio-mechanical protocols/drills, functional fitness, nutrition, leadeship and the mental & emotional side of the game. Tom House a 9yr. Major League pitcher and 11 yr. Major League pitching coach, conducted the course. With an advisory board that includes the likes of Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson, Orel Hershiser, Bobby Valentine, Dusty Baker and the list goes on, the NPA is one of the nations leaders in the latest on the "Art and Science of Pitching". Coach Selmer was excited to receive his certification and looks forward to sharing this up to date information with his students and players.
