Congrats to the 2006 DII OIA Girls Volleyball Champs - Kalaheo Lady Mustang Varsity Team
A huge congrats to all of our 2006 Lady Mustang Volleyball Girls!
The J.V. ended the season as 2nd in the East, going to the play-offs and being eliminated in the Semi-Finals by Wai'anae!
The Varsity ended up going through Campbell and Radford in the Semi-Finals of the play-offs to face Kaimuki in the Final game -- and we took the Kaimuki Bull Dogs in two!!! So, the Varsity Lady Mustangs Volleyball ended the season with an 11-4 record and went on to play in the 2006 State Volleyball Tournament as top seed in Div II representing the OIA.
Their first match was against La Pietra, who won us in the 1st (25-23), we came back in the 2nd at 18-25, and then lost it again in the 3rd at 25-18...that took us towards playing for the 5th and 6th position against Seabury Hall from Maui, which we lost in two.. but that's ok ladies ... congratulations to our Seniors: Sabrina Blanco, Case Jenkins, Brianna Elliot, and Natasha Roque for an excellent last season -- and for putting Kalaheo's 1st Girls Volleyball Banner up on that Wall of Honor! And to all the potential returnee's - good luck in the club season and we'll see you in the Spring for conditioning and in June for Summer training!
