So We've Moved....from Kailua to Kalaheo
Yup, yup you heard the grapevine, after a greatly improved season at Kailua (our first) taking the boys from 1-13 in their previous season, and starting with only 4 boys, with the help of those 4 core boys, together - we rebuilt the team to 10 players! Endind the season at 6-8, just about the middle of the pack and 3rd in the East, that took us to play-offs and after losing to Waipahu that was that -- or so we thought!
But then, not one but TWO of our players were named to the Div II All-Star Team: Stephan Ogasawara (setter) and Kili Vierra (OH/DS).... so in May as we had planned to return to continue to build Kailua High Schools Boys Team, even after complete parent support, letters, and questions; we were refused by administration (principle, A.D. and the head coach), replaced by other coaches without being told, and were forced to seek other coaching opportunities which wound us up at Kalaheo H.S. in mid July as the new Girls Program coaches, and having started a month and a half late.. we're ready to go, no hating here, just teaching some volleyball, values, college requirements, and havin fun!..... so if anyone wondered, that's the real story....
And after having had a taste of both schools, although all of our coaches are from Nalo and our hearts will always be with the Waimanalo kids; if ya wanna play some real volleyball and get noticed for colleges as well be prepared and ready for colleges by Senior year? Come and check us out! On the Windward side of the Ko'olau, this is the real deal, if you are committed - we will help prepare you no matter where you're from!
