Allendale HEAT Win Bergen Country Classic Memorial Day Tournament
The Allendale Heat (9 year olds) won the BCC Memorial Day Championship. They went undefeated over three days with a 5-0 record.
Similar to an earlier game in the tournament against Harrington Park, the HEAT fell behind by 3 runs in the first inning to a tough Ridgewood team. Once again, the HEAT found a way to hold off their opponent for the majority of the rest of the game with outstanding defense, solid pitching and HOT BATS!!! The HEAT chipped away and went into the fifth inning with a one run lead (5-4) at which time the HEAT scored a big three insurance runs to break the game wide open. Ridgewood loaded the bases in the top of the sixth but the HEAT defense and pitching came through once again to take the BCC CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
A very exciting and memorable weekend for HEAT NATION!!!
