2015 WI District 2 Softball Tournaments

July 8, 2015

Little League Softball Wisconsin District 2 tournaments for 11-12 and 9-10 age groups ran July 8 thru July 14, between Appleton American East, Appleton National North, and Appleton National West.

All games were played at Kratzer Field (USA #2) at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex, with 9-10 (Minors) playing at 5:30, followed by 11-12 (Majors), at 7:30. A round-robin format of play determined who plays in the District Championship games, for a trip to State!

Tuesday, July 28:
Appleton American East 11-12 Softball fell to Michigan-Bay County, 6-2 this evening. American East finished their post-season run with a 5-3 record, wrapping up pool play at the Central Region Tournament in Indianapolis, after previously winning the District 2 and State Tournaments.

Great season, 11-12 American East team!

Sunday, July 19:
Congrats, Appleton American East for winning the Major Division (11-12) Wisconsin State Tournament in South Milwaukee! They move on to the Little League Softball Central Tournament, in Indianapolis, Indiana! Good luck at the Regional, girls!

Tuesday, July 14:
Congratulations to Appleton National North 9-10 and Appleton American East 11-12 for winning District 2 SB Tournaments! Good luck at State!

Thursday, July 9:
With both American East and National North teams in Minors and Majors having 1-0 records in Pool Play, their games against each other Monday, 7/13 sets up rematches in the District Championships on Tuesday, 7/14. Good luck to all four teams!

Wednesday, July 8:
Round-robin play begins with American East playing National West. Minors game starts at 5:30, followed by Majors at 7:30.
