Aston Valley Baseball League

About our League

Aston Valley Baseball League has a strong tradition in serving the youth of Aston Township and surrounding communities for over 50 years. We are an affiliate of the Babe Ruth League and their Cal Ripken Baseball League. Like many youth programs, we are run by volunteers who are dedicated to providing our players with a safe environment to learn the game of baseball while having fun being part of a team with friends and classmates.  Our philosophy is that the players come first and we set-up our playing rules and regular season play with a focus on individual players and teamwork. 

Aston Valley has two beautiful baseball facilities.  Players 4 through 12 play at Weir Park on Weir Road in Aston.  This facility has 4 baseball fields, 3 batting cages, snack stand, press box, restrooms, playground and our newly built Donovan pavilion is great for watching games and relaxing.  There is plenty of room for the entire family to enjoy the game, a bite to eat and the park's facilities. No need to worry about any major highways or traffic.  Our teener league plays on Buggy Field located at Sun Valley High School.  This field was funded and built by our league and hosts not only our teener league but also Sun Valley and other baseball leagues who want a first class facility.  Buggy Field also has a press box, restrooms and a snack stand. 

Who plays at Aston Valley?

Aston Valley Baseball League has anywhere from 350-450 players during our regular spring season.  We also host summer tournaments that bring in teams from across the region.  Our recently added Fall Ball Program has been an incredible success with teams and players from Aston, Ridley, Springfield, Middletown, Newtown Square, Delaware, Brandywine, Chadds Ford and other towns. With our spring and fall ball registrations, we serve well over 1200 young players across the Delaware Valley!

A WINNING Tradition

After the regular season, our league participates in post-season tournament play that is sponsored by Babe Ruth League and Cal Ripken Baseball.  Our tournament teams are selected in a very fair process that has been emulated by other leagues.  Our teams have a strong tradition of winning and representing not only our league but our community in a very proud manner.  AVBL has won many district tournaments, state championships and regional titles.  Stop by Weir Park and see for yourself!
