ASYFC Cheering Information:
Age eligibility = 5 - 15 years of age
Practices:
Cheer practices will start in August of 2009. ALL teams will be practicing at Pirone Park throughout the month of August. Please plan on 2 hour practices , 4 nights a week. Your child's coach will provide you with more detail when the season begins.
ALL practices are mandatory. Please call your coach and let them know if your child will be absent for any reason. Three unexplained absences could mean a drop from the team.
Games:
Home games are usually held on Saturdays at the Ayer High School. ASYFC's away games are usually on Sundays. Please let your child's coach know if your child will be absent from a game.
Competitions:
Competition attendance is MANDATORY. More information regarding Cheerleading competitions will be handed out , once the season is underway.
Safety Information:
~ There is NO JEWELRY of any kind allowed! This includes body piercings.
~ Hair must be pulled up and out of face at all times.
~ Shorts and te-shirts must be worn to ALL practices. No denim, zippers, or spaghetti straps allowed. To avoid any type of "wardrobe malfunctions" please make sure that clothes worn to practices, games and any other Cheer function, fit properly.
~Fingernails are to be kept short and polish free.
~ Sneakers are to be worn at all times.
~ Anyone that needs to wear eyeglasses, must have a sports strap.
~ Do not apply hand or body lotions before practices, games or competitions. Slippery skin can be a hazard.
~ Be ready and attentive to your coaches at all times. This will improve performance and prevent accidents.
~ Remember your Cheer Code of Conduct
~Respect yourself and your teammates at all times.
Cheerleading Fees:
$100.00 per cheerleader
Family Max of $350.00
