Winter Meetings
The 2009 Winter Meetings were held on December 16th. The following things were discussed as well as the 2009 supplemental draft:
Proposed innings rule for pitchers
-----Vetoed; same pitching as last year
Amount of money to play
-----The cost of the league is now $10
Changes to the field
-----NA Martyrs will now be 10 feet longer in left field
-----All Games are at NAM, unless the managers change it on their own or NAM is unavailable
The infamous "grass rule"
-----If the ball goes into the grass it is playable
Jerseys/Hats/etc
-----Each team will have a colored t-shirt as a uniform this year (Oak-Green; Det-Orange; SD-Blue; Wash-Red)
Trophies
-----The money will be going towards purchasing a championship trophy
-----Also, trophies for individual awards will be made as well
New Save Rule
-----If a pitcher comes in after the 4th inning with a lead of 5 or less runs, it is a save situation
-----same situation rules as MLB with 5 run difference
