Lacrosse coming to the Division of Recreation in the summer of 2015!

Mayor Jimmy Davis has announced the Division of Recreation will offer

Beginner's Lacrosse for Bayonne youth, ages 6-14, this summer!

The Division of Recreation will team up once again with the US Sports Institute and the Lacrosse camp is designed for beginners with little or no previous lacrosse experience. Children will learn the fundamental skills and rules of lacrosse during the week long program. All activities are "non contact" to ensure the safety of all children.

Lacrosse is open to boys and girls and players will be grouped by age, playing ability and skill level. All equipment is provided making this an affordable way for children to learn the game.

Program highlights include stick familiarity, cradling and scooping, running with the ball, throwing and catching, and shooting and dodging.

Lacrosse camp is tentatively set for Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26,

2015 at Gorman Field. Times and pricing will be announced at a later date.
