Our summer camp experiences empowers campers to develop independence, self-esteem, and life-long friendships. A wide range of activities encourage campers to pursue new interests, cultivate friendships and develop strengths. Campers thrive as they develop fitness and sports skills, enjoy field trips, and pursue arts, adventure and athletic activities.

Day Camps
16th Street Park Day Camp
1st through 8th Grade
$200.00/child
Family Discount: $130 for the 2nd child; 3rd Child is free.

Ages 3 and older

Camp Dates: Monday, July 24th, Tuesday, July 25th, Thursday, July 27th, and Friday, July 28th.
Camp Hours: 6:00 – 7:00pm

Wrestling Camp
Ages 7 to 13

Camp Dates: Monday, July 10th to Friday, July 21st.
Camp Hours: 9am to 12:00pm
Camp will take place at the Wrestling Room in Bayonne High School.

Swim Lessons
BEGINNER
(1st & 2nd Grade) Sundays, 9:30am to 10:15am or Tuesdays, 5:30pm to 6:15pm.
(3rd & 4th Grade) Sundays, 10:30am to 11:15am or Tuesdays, 6:30pm to 7:15pm.
(5th through 8th Grade) Thursdays, 5:30pm to 6:15pm or 6:30pm to 7:15pm.
Lessons will begin on Sunday, June 25th and will run through Thursday, August 3rd.
Each lesson will last for 40 minutes, once a week, for six (6) weeks.

Spaces are limited.
Four (4) to Five (5) lifeguards will be assigned for each lesson.
The cost of the six-week program is $125.00 per student. For families, a discount is given for the second child ($75.00) and the third child is free.
PARENT & ME (Ages 2-4)
The program is an excellent opportunity for a parent/guardian to spend quality time together while easing their child into the water with support and confidence.
Lessons will begin on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Each lesson will last for 30 minutes, for six (6) weeks, from 10:00am to 10:30am.
Four (4) to Five (5) lifeguards will be assigned for each lesson.
The cost of the program for a parent/guardian and 1 child is $75.00. A parent/guardian must accompany their child in the water.
SPECIAL NEEDS SWIMMING (Ages 4-21)
Lessons will take place on Mondays, beginning on Monday, July 10, 2017. Lessons will begin at 5:45pm.
Each lesson will last for 30 minutes, for six (6) weeks. Four (4) to Five (5) lifeguards will be assigned for each lesson.
There is no cost for the special needs swimming.

Lacrosse Camp
Start Date: Mon. July 17, 2017
End Date: Friday, July 21, 2017

Lacrosse: With an emphasis on passing, catching and scooping, participants will learn how to play lacrosse through a series of activities and then take part in small scrimmages to put into practice what they have learned.
Focusing on developing a basic understanding of the sport, all Foundation curriculums have been designed for the beginner to intermediate player.

Multi-Sports Camp

With up to 16 sports in one fun program, our Total Play Multi Sport camps and classes offer variety, quality and fun that cannot be matched! Your child will learn the skills and rules of different sports, before putting them to practice in fun scrimmages and games.
THE YOUNG CHILDREN’S SUMMER PROGRAM
Children currently enrolled in the Department’s Preschool Program will have first priority and additional spots will be filled in a lottery system.
The cost of the program is $25.00 a session. To register, please contact Ms. Edith Balint at 201-858-6186 or Mrs. Donna Killmer at 201-858-6161.
To enter the summer program, your child must be four years of age on or by October 1st, 2016 and be a Bayonne resident. Proof of age and residency must be provided when submitting the application. Therefore, parents need to bring a COPY of their child’s birth certificate and a PSE&G bill or driver’s license.
Youngsters may be enrolled in ONE of the following sessions:
