Former Jersey Blue Harold Eckert Helps Venezuela Win Carribean Series
Harold Eckert a former pitcher from Brookdale Community College helped Venezuela win the 2006 Caribbean Series. It was Venezuela's first title in 17 years.
Eckert was named in the February 27th issue of Baseball America as a Major League Baseball Winter League All Star. Eckert while pitching for Zulia pitched 74 innings compiling a 4-4 record. He had a 2.78 ERA giving up 62 hits allowing 21 walks and striking out 94 batters.
Eckert has spent the past two seasons with the AAA club in Vegas. Harold enters this spring training with an exellent shot of making his MLB debut in 2006.
