Tally it Up - Brants Win!
Two wins in a row for the Brants! Hot on the heels of their 4-2 win over Etobicoke on Wednesday, they defeated the Brampton BattleCats in Brampton, Saturday,14-7. Brants lead 4-0 early, then fell behind 5-4 before scoring 4 in the 4th and 4 more in the 6th..JR Crosby was in charge behind the plate and at the dish. He smacked a 3 run homer, walked twice, singled, and scored.
5 runs. 1B Adam Messina contributed 3 singles and 3 RBI, CF Andrew Stevens singled and doubled, knocked in 2.
And Head Coach,Dan Ryan, patrolling rite field for the short-handed Brants, and DH Brandon Fischer, each had 2 hits and an rbi.
Daniel Nauth went the distance for The Brants,spread out 9 hits and 8 walks but yielded only 2 earned runs as 3 infield errors were costly.
The Brants meet Dundas Chiefs, Wednesday @ 7:30pm at Nelson Park, before heading to London for the Eliminations on July 31st, August 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Their first game is vs Windsor Stars, Friday @ 3:00pm at LDBA Park.
The annual COBA ALL-STAR game, scheduled for Nelson Park today (Sunday), was rained out.
