Speedy Rolling After Back to Back Wins

Could it be that the Speedy Claxtons are finally finding the winning formula? After a 0-3 start to the season, the Claxton Clan has rattled off 2 straight victories by an average margin of 28.5 points per game. Recording 21 assists in tonight’s game, it is clear that Speedy and company have made a conscious effort to share the ball and attempt to succeed playing solid team basketball. Shane Vermeulen had another strong game with 10 points and 9 rebounds while teammate JJ Russell led the team with 12 points. Gary “crotch rocket” Thomas added a solid 11 points and 5 boards. Mike MacKay chipped in with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 5 blocks and a couple of near alley-oops through the heart of the defense. The Speedy Claxtons will face a big test against Vandalay Industries on Wednesday as they attempt to make it 3 in a row heading into playoffs.
