Tropics Clinch Top Spot in the Blue Division

Team Courtside gave a valiant effort against the giants trailing only by 8 at halftime but the big guns were too much to hold off for a full game for the undersized squad. Josh Melton had a solid effort in a losing cause as he poured in 15 points to go along with a solid defensive effort on Robbie Valpreda whenever they matched up against each other. Lee Chanin and Shane Leman also added 16 a piece. The Tropics hit their stride in the 2nd half outscoring Courtside by 18 to take a commanding 102-76 victory. Kyle Saban led all players with 6 assists while team mate Robbie Valpreda had a game high 24 points and 10 rebounds. Gregg Frankson chipped in with 20. With Kyle Saban orchestrating the offensive attack and heavy hitters Valpreda and Frankson putting up all-star scoring numbers, the Tropics are preparing for a magical playoff run.
