Scoregasm Survives
Game: 52
After a blistering start out of the gates to a 24-12 advantage, team Scoregasm struggled to score as the Niners chipped their way back into the game and cutting the lead by half by the end of the second quarter. Despite Harvey Bradford struggling to find his way to the basket without hearing the whistle blow against him, the team was able to rally and maintain the lead through most of this game. Billed as a must-see game, it was exactly that. The intensity was through the roof. On a few occasions, play had to be stopped to clean up the floor from loose bodies that had sweat on it. Darren Graham was forced from the match after receiving an inadvertent elbow to the mouth. Paul Kuperus started slow but found his stride hitting a couple of deep, contested 3 pointers that had the opposing bench wowing and asking each other if they had seen how far out he was. At the end of the day, the defensive pressure of the Scoregasm team was the difference as they gave little room and time for Niners ball handlers to make effective decisions. Aris “Hulk” Nunez-Ruiz led the way in victory with 24 points and 7 rebounds while Paul Kuperus equaled his total with 24 of his own against a stingy assortment of defenders. Scoregasm lives to face the undefeated And 1 squad. This contest will be a fast-paced match with pressure defense and up-tempo breakouts from start to finish. These teams should match up well and it is a toss up which team gains the advantage on paper. It should be an exciting game. The final four features the top 4 teams and should be exciting!
