Youngster Breaks-out For Big Game

If you don’t know the name Kyle Fairbairn, ask Vandalay Industries about him – they are sure to know who he is now. Averaging only 5.7 points per game, Fairbairn lit up the scoreboard with 6/9 3-point shooting to finish with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Veteran Above the Rim teammates Jim Bonin and Trevor “Chernobyl” Harrington were stellar in defeat as well with 22 and 16 points respectively. On the other side of the ball, Vandalay’s Kris Raymond returned to the all-star form we are accustomed to seeing as he dominated the game with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Daryl Balog added the secondary scoring touch with 16 while chipping in 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Clutch free throw shooting and an inability to secure a key defensive rebound proved to be the difference down the stretch as Vandalay came away with a slim 80-76 victory.
