Cardinals VS SYAG Braves
The Cardinals were finally able to resume their Spring season after 3 straight rain outs. The Cardinals took on the Syag Braves on Wednesday in Bayport. The Braves had there tough lefty Joey L. start while the Cardinals had Anthony S. take the hill. Anthony was starting for the first time this year and he held the Braves to 3 runs through the first 3 innings. The Cardinals found themselves down by 3 after the 1st inning and had to fight there way back into it. The Cardinals were able to get a run back in the bottom of the 1st to cut the score to 3-1. In the bottom of the third the Cards were able to get 3 runs back and take a 4-3 lead. Jack F. started by hitting a solo Homerun over the left field fence. After a walk to Nick V., Matthew B. then hit a 2 run homerun over the left center field fence giving the Cards the lead. This turned out to be all the runs the Cards would need. Nick V. added a 3 run shot over the right center field fence in the top of the 5th adding to the lead. Nick V. relieved Anthony going the last 3 innings giving the Cards the Victory... The Coaching staff is really enjoying the development of our boys and having a alot of fun along the way..
