The Charlotte Colts came close to end their 2013-2014 season in high fashion. They came up short to the Miami Knights in the American Football News Today AA National Championship 14-6 in Miami last night. The Colts marched 92 yards in one minute and thirty four seconds with the arm of QB Darius Dobson. With 18 seconds left and no time outs on the Knights three yard line, the Colts went right up the gut of the Knights defense and created a pileup on the goal line. “I saw one side judge signaled touchdown” said head coach Shawn Wood, “Then I saw a discussion on the field with the refs on what they saw and the clock was running out.”

Dobson was the offensive MVP with his performance throwing 12 of 23 for 237 yards including a 73 yard touchdown pass to Dennis Rorie. WR Ray Ray Munford also had 5 catches for 128 yards. The defense play a great game denied the Knights offense in the end zones after several attempts. They got pressure from DLs Ramon Azular and Big Country. The Colts ended the season with a 13-4 record.
