Description of Positions necessary to run this League

Board Members:
Officers - President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary. Communication and organization skills are necessary. Must be a leader to take on difficult tasks and make decisions. Management experience is helpful.
Interleague Coordinator - Coordinate field usage and schedules with Suffolk Soccer Interleague. Communicate with coaches and handle interleague issues as they arise. Communication, organization and patience is necessary for this position.
Division Coordinator - Create teams at the start of the season, communicate with coaches and handle division issues as they arise. Communication, organization and patience is necessary for success.
Director of Referees - Schedule available referees to work games for in-house and possibly interleague divisions (usually age 5 and up). Must be able to communicate with teens and work with the treasurer.
Director of Fields and Equipment - Locate and size fields at the start of the season. Coordinate field maintenence volunteers to line fields before game time. Maintain inventory of CYSL equipment.
Seasonal:
Coach & Assistant Coach - Practice once a week based on your schedule. Teach players about soccer - many online sources to get you started. You need patience and the desire to make it fun for the kids. We prefer those who define winning as "Doing Your Best" - standings are not kept in our league.
Team Parent - Be the liasion between parents and coaches for field directions and practices. Coordinate weekly snack rotation list with other parents. Communication and organization skills are necessary.
Webmaster - Maintain and update this website. Coordinate other website volunteers.
Occassional / One time only:
Help with Field Maintenence - Line division fields before start of games. This will help the coaches concentrate on the game and their players.
Help with Events - One party during the season - help plan, purchase supplies, set-up and clean-up.
Help with Fundraising - help with fall pictures, sell and distribute fundraising merchandise
Help with Website - post updates for a division, team or the league. Familar with HTML format and your must be electronically comfortable.
