(EST.2006) The Des Moines HITMEN is a local Amateur Baseball team located in the Metro area. We compete in the 25 years of age and older league of the Mid-Iowa Baseball league. Mid-Iowa Baseball is affiliated with the MSBL national Baseball league. We play ball from mid to late April until Late August, sometimes do some travel. 2007's Iowa All-Star team played ball at Rosenblatt, home of the college world series. We also have opportunities to play in state and out of state tournaments, besides the regular season games. A regular season is normally 18 games with a post-season championship tournament in late August. Our Players have played at local and out of state High Schools and Colleges. We have even had players from the Dominican Republic and past Minor League system players. We are always looking for Pitchers and normally have tryouts from Sep.- April each year for both Pitchers and Position players. We are also always looking for sponsors. Your money helps us to pay tournament fees, league fees, and purchase team uniforms and equipment. Sponsors get advertising on our web page, My space page, and we have options for helmet advertising.
