Pete Bartlewski Named Head Varsity Coach

Druid Hills High School Principal Mindee Adamson appoints Pete Bartlewski Head Varsity Coach of the Druid Hills Red Devils Baseball Team.

Coach BartlewskiCoach Bartlewski holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University where he graduated with high honors.   He also holds a Masters of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Springfield College where he specialized in Athletic Counseling and Sports Psychology.

Coach Bartlewski was recently named to the staff of Druid Hills High School.  He previously served as Special Education Teacher at Shadow Rock Center and is working toward certification as an Orton-Gillingham Reading Specialist.  He was named 2011-2012 Teacher of the year.

Coach Bartlewksi has served as Assistant Varsity Coach at Druid Hills High School since 2010 and was named Interim Head Coach this past season.

Playing and Coaching Experience:

1985-1986 University of Maine (team advanced to College World Series) 
1986-1989 Central Connecticut State University (Team Captain, 1989)
1989 University Scholar Athlete of the Year
1989 Honorable Mention Academic All-American

Inducted into the New Britain, Connecticut Sports Hall of Fame (2010)

 

Coach Bartlewski lives in Decatur with his wife, Cheryl, son, Jack, and daughter, Julia.
