EASTBAY BULLDOGS BASKETBALL

April is here and Spring Bulldogs have begun. That said, we have limited space available in all grades.  But its filling up fast so if you want to join, please contact Coach LeClaire at PGLeClaire@comcast.net  ASAP.  

If you want to join a team, we have room for the following right now:

• HS Boys - 2 Game Players + Prac Positions Open
• 8th Boys - Teams Full, Practice Positions Open
• 7th Boys - 4 Game Players + Prac Positions Open
• 6th Boys - 1 Game Player + Prac Positions Open
• 5th Boys - Teams Full, Practice Positions Open
• 4th Boys - Teams Full, Practice Positions Open
• 3rd Boys - Teams Full, Prac Postitions Open
• 1st & 2nd Boys - Teams Full, Practice Positions Open
• Girls - Space for 2 Girls on Teams, 3rd through 8th Grades

So whats all that mean?  Well, we have 21 teams playing right now.  As you can see above, some grades have room for a couple of players and in some grades, the teams are full.  But that doesn't mean you can't join.  In a grade that needs players, you can sign up and be practicing twice a week and playing games on the weekends right now.  But if your grade is full, you can still join as a practice player.  Whats that mean?  As a practice player you would practice twice a week with us for the balance of spring (March, April, May) but not play games on the weekends.  Then, come Summer, you would be given returning player status giving you first crack at signing up and being on a team for summer.  This way, the next 2 months would be like a basketball camp for you, working on your game, learning our system etc so come June, when summer games start for you, you would be ready to go.

FYI, all our Spring Teams practice twice a week and play games in the MVP league on the weekends.  Our Select teams (Bulldogs ALPHA) will also do some limited tournament play.  This year, we have 21 teams for spring.  We have both Boys and Girls teams, 2nd grade to HS.  We always have multiple teams at every grade level so there are teams for all skill levels.  About the teams:

• ALPHA Teams - Our Select teams are known as Bulldogs Alpha.  ALPHA is for the elite player that is really committed to basketball.  
• White Teams - Our White teams are for the good club level player that might have outgrown his CYO team and wants to play with better players and better coaching to take his game to the next level.  
• Blue Teams - And finally, our Blue teams are developmental teams for players learning the game looking to get better.  

FYI, there is no class system here.  All our teams will get the same great coaching with a focus on the fundamentals needed to grow your game.  All teams will practice twice a week and play games on the weekends in the highly competitive MVP league.  Our ALPHA teams will also do some limited tournament play including the Worlds Largest AAU tournament in Reno over Memorial Day Weekend.

Practice - Our full spring practice schedule is now confirmed and up on this website.  Just click our Calendar link on the left.  In fact, the first month of Summer (June) is up on the practice schedule as well.

Summer, Fall and Winter - For those of you that cant play Spring but want to play when your schedule permits, we will have a Summer session (June, July, Aug) that is much like Spring, 2 prac a week, games on the weekends.  For Fall, we go 2 months, Sept and Oct, again 2 prac a week, games on the weekends.  For Winter (Nov to Feb), we choose to let our players focus on CYO and HS Basketball so we just do skills clinics.  If your interested in any of these programs, just contact me.
