Amateur Athletic Union basketball is a spring basketball season that allows athletes to advance their basketball skills by competing against the best players at their age level. It runs from March through the end of June .
What are the benefits of playing A.A.U. Basketball?
Playing spring basketball against the best basketball players in New England allows girls the chance to take their games to the next level. A extra basketball season gives them more practice and game experience. Playing A.A.U basketball does not guraantee future success, however many girls who play A.A.U end up playing high school and some college basketball. A.A.U tournaments are well run, organized tournaments with sanctioned officials, and well orchestrated schedules. The tournaments are generally played with two games on Saturday, and two games on Sunday.
