If you are in the market for a new bat for your child please note that there will be changes that may be taking affect in the 2019 season for Finksburg baseball that may affect your decision on which bat to purchase.  In 2019 we may be adopting the new USA Baseball Bat Standard (USABat).  If you are considering purchasing a new bat this year you may want to make sure that the bat you purchase has the USA Baseball stamp to insure that the bat will be able to be used beyond the 2018 season.  This change applies to Minor, Major and Senior Leagues.  Restrictions on the bat barrel size will remain the same at a maximum of 2-5/8^th”   There is no restriction on the drop factor for weight.  For the 2018 season players will be able to continue to use bats that are stamped with a Bat Performance Factor (BPF) of 1.15BPF.  If a bat does not have either the 1.15BPF or USABAT stamp it will not be able to be used for the 2018 season.
