Finksburg Baseball Families!

As we get ready to kick-off another season of baseball, I wanted to bring up an issue that is very important to the success of our program.  For years Finksburg Baseball has had a fantastic relationship with the Roaring Run Lions Club.  For those who don't know, the Lions Club owns and operates the Roaring Run Community Park that we use for baseball.  The primary mission of the Lions is to serve the community, which they do through outreach of many kinds.  They collect and distribute medical equipment to those in need, they organize many community events throughout the year, and for us, they provide us a ballpark FREE OF CHARGE!  The Lions club only stipulates that we maintain the park in good condition, and that they can operate a concessions stand to raise money to cover the expense of the facility.

Which is where you come in.  I am writing this email to all baseball families in an attempt to solicit some help with the concessions stand.  The Lions Club is making an effort to update and improve their concessions stand this season.  They are making some changes to improve the menu and for the first time ever will now accept credit/debit cards! BUT, they have asked for some volunteers to help run it.  We are looking for volunteers who can donate even a small amount of time over the baseball season.  They can be parents, coaches, or even youth interested in service learning hours.

For this relationship to continue, we MUST help the Lions club out.  They have given in a self-less way for many years, and now, it is on us to return the favor.

Please contact Vicki Mahr or call/text her at 410-292-5738 if you have even a small amount of time to donate.  It will make a huge difference!

Thank you,
