Participation:

·         ATTENDANCE AT EVERY PRACTICE IS EXPECTED

o   Varsity team members will practice 5 days a week, Monday-Friday on the track.  Practice should only be missed if absent from school or you have after school remediation with a teacher.  After school meetings with teachers should not be a regular event during the season.

§  By joining this team you made a commitment to be there daily.  It is expected that being a member of this team is at the top of your to-do list. 

§  The coaching staff understands athletes have many different activities in their daily lives.  If a situation arises where you cannot be at practice, notify your event coach.  Excessive absences without notification will result in a meet suspension and/or removal from the team.

·         If you are in school on the day of a meet, you are expected to compete in all the events scheduled for you.  If you cannot compete in a certain event, you must notify your events coach immediately so they can find a replacement athlete who can compete for the points.  If you do not notify your coach, it will put the team at risk of losing points and could negatively affect the outcome of the meet.  Not notifying the coach will result in a 1 meet suspension.
