Boys Tournament Rules
GIBSON CITY YOUTH BASEBALL
RULES FOR 2009 BOYS TOURNAMENT GAMES
July 13th - July 26th
We expect complete and utmost respect for the Officials of this tournament by Coaches, Players, Parents & Fans.
NO UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT WILL BE TOLERATED!
1.) All games are set on a 1 hour 45 minute time limit. No inning will start after the 1hr 45 min time limit. Ten run rule applies after the 5th inning with the exception of the Championship game. Championship game will consist of 6 innings regardless of time or run limit.
2.) A coin flip will determine Home team (15 minutes before the start of the game).
3.) One new ball will be provided by each team, for each game played.
4.) No infield balls after the first inning.
5.) 5 pitch warm up for each new pitcher.
6.) Any games rained out will be suspended and play will resume where left off when weather permits.
7.) Pitchers are limited to 9 innings per day.
8.) No courtesy runners.
9.) No dropped third strike.
10.) No infield fly rule.
11.) No lead offs.
12.) Players MUST slide on close plays, determined by umpire.
13.) There are no appeal plays. Umpires will make calls that were previously appeal plays, once play has stopped, i.e. laeving base early.
