First Call up for the Cardinals!!!!
The Geneva Cardinals are proud to announce that former Cardinal Nate Glant has been extended an invitation to join the Schaumburg Flyers of the Northern league for spring training as well as the Rockford Riverhawks of the Frontier league.
"Nate has been an invaluable part of this organization for the past two years. I have enjoyed having him around on the field as well as the clubhouse. We will surely miss his smiling face, but are extremly happy to seem him take his game up to the next level!" stated Geneva Cardinals General manager Victor Canales.
"We are very proud and excited for Nate.", stated team president Stehpanie Canales. "Not only is it our first former Cardinal to make it to that level, but we are excited for someone like Nate who has given a ton of effort to this organization. We wish him the best of luck!"
Nate played his high school ball at Wayne high in Fort Wayne. From there he played at Carroll College in Wisconsin and was extended the offer during a senior day tryout for the independent leagues. Nate played for the Cardinals in the 2006 and 2007 season helping the team to the most wins it has had in it's four years as both Cardinal teams won 16 games.
