What does the GRABA Board do?

The GRABA board is the decision making arm of our youth basketball program. It is through the board that programs are designed, planned for and operated. The board determines the costs necessary to run each of these programs and sets applicable fees to cover the costs. Without a board there would be no youth basketball.

What does a Board Member do?

GRABA meets on a monthly basis to review issues and concerns surrounding our programs. Participation by board members during these meetings is vital and helps to find the best solutions for our organization and our youth. Besides meetings, each board member will be assigned a task or area. These assignments are held by the board member for the year. As new members join or resign, new assignments will be given to board members.

Assignments vary from year to year, but each board member is expected to assist with GRABA events throughout the year.

Who should volunteer to serve on the GRABA board?

We are always looking for members who have an interest in youth basketball, have organizational skills that can be leveraged in the operation of the programs, and have a passion for continued improvement of a youth program that has already become one of the top youth programs in Northern Minnesota!

How do I apply for the GRABA board?

All you need to do is contact one of the current GRABA board members and express your interest in joining. You will then be contact by the GRABA president to discuss the position, your interest, and background. Your name will then be brought to the board for approval.
