Per Little League rules and as a condition of service to the league, all managers, coaches and Board of Directors members must annually complete and submit an official “Little League Volunteer Application” to the local league. Annual background screenings must be completed prior to the applicant assuming his/her duties for the current season. Refusal to annually submit a fully completed “Little League Volunteer Application” must result in the immediate removal of the volunteer from the local league.
This Little League International regulation has been in place since 2004, and includes the stipulation that no league shall permit any person to participate in a league in any manner whose background check reveals a conviction or guilty plea for a crime against a minor.
If you are interested in Managing or Coaching this season you must complete the 2019 Little League Volunteer Application, which can be found through the link below. You must do this even if you completed a similar form last year. Little League rules state that background checks are conducted each year.
